Teaching Art History Wiki: A Site for Professors to Share Resources and Ideas

Page history last edited by Alex 11 years, 8 months ago

What this is

A forum and data bank for teaching art history.

Why we made this

Every day, all over the world, hard-working art history teachers are developing materials, collecting resources and innovating. After years of seeing great ideas, resources and links appear and disappear on listservs like Princeton's Consortium of Art and Architectural Historians, we decided that we needed something more permanent and dynamic.

Who it's for

Teachers of art history working with students at any level (although many items contributed to date are for college teachers).

Highlights

Some of the most well-developed sections on the site, thus-far, include:

Find stuff

  • Get assignment, test and project ideas to use in your classroom from The Bank.
  • Click on the Pages & Files tab above to browse current topics.
  • Search keywords and tags in the searchbox (right-hand corner).

Add stuff

  • Edit any item by clicking the EDIT tab (a palette with word processing options will appear).
  • Upload files from your hard drive (see sidebar, top right).
  • Leave comments and questions in the comments box (bottom of every page).
